ANDANTE JUNIOR MUSIC FESTIVAL
Andante's Junior Music Festival is open to students ages 6 through 18 whose teachers belong to a music club affiliated with the National Federation of Music Clubs. February 22 was the date for the 2025 festival held in Bella Vista.
This year's categories were piano and violin. Two pieces are needed, one is the choice of the student and the other one is a required piece chosen from the National Federation of Music Club's Festival Bulletin.
It is not a competition but an evaluation of students' accuracy and musicality. All studentS are given a rating: Superior, Excellent, Satisfactory and Needs Improvement. All receive a Certificate and a rating sheet which is helpful to the students and teachers. Once they accumulate 15 points they receive a gold cup trophy. And then can continue earning larger gold cups in 15 point increments (15, 30, 45, etc.)
